About Us

What makes us and our students so successful is the care and attention of our teaching. Following internationally recognised and respected syllabi (ISTD, RAD, WIDA & LAMDA), we prepare each pupil for each Grade to the most Advanced Student level where they can either use their high Advanced exam towards University UCAS points or gain entry to the country’s leading full-time Dance Colleges & Ballet Schools.

We train the pupils to develop and progress at a speed they cope with. We don’t join large age groups together and we don’t wait until a whole class is ready to take an exam. Children take an exam when they are ready and are not held back. Exams help develop a pupil’s determination and sense of achievement, but are not compulsory.

Classes are held in Felbridge and East Grinstead area. We are not interested in opening 500 schools. We focus on our pupils and develop their talent in our one main school so the pupils can progress correctly. Our staff are all highly qualified and/or very experienced former professional dancers and West End performers and include 3 ISTD Examiners and Coaches that also teach at Professional Dance & Musical Theatre Colleges.  All our Staff & Visiting Professionals teach on a regular basis which creates consistency in the pupils learning. 

As part of their training pupils get ample opportunity to perform on stage in our award winning Productions; Competitive Festivals; various Events and in Roshe Showcases. We perform in East Grinstead at Chequer Mead Theatre with touring companies and at The Hawth Theatre where we produce our own show for a week, provide children for touring companies and previously provided all the Children & Students for Pantomime for 25 years at the Hawth. 

Who knows if they have a flair for a particular style? Ballet is recognised as the grounding and basis of all dance and this helps their standard in all the other dance forms. We take the training of your child seriously because that is what you expect and you deserve value for money.

We are not a weekend school. To give a child the best (and they deserve it) and to fulfil their true potential, we operate Monday to Saturday and some Sundays so they have the opportunity to learn as many styles of dance as they wish.

With 3 Senior ISTD examiners, professional dancers and renowned visiting teachers from Professional Colleges, the Royal Ballet and the West End, Roshe has a first class Staff with years of experience and a proven track record of success.

Roshe pupils also regularly gain places at the most prestigious and internationally acclaimed vocational Dance Colleges and Ballet Schools including: The Royal Ballet White Lodge & Senior School; English National Ballet School; Elmhurst; Royal Academy of Dance; Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance; Northern Contemporary; Laine Theatre Arts; Bird College, Performers College; London Studio Centre; Laban Conservatoire; Brit College and Urdang . We are especially delighted that Roshe have built, over the last 70 years, such a fantastic working relationship with all of these esteemed establishments, after so many pupils have successfully auditioned.

Roshe are also delighted to have so many former Pupils that have danced with: The Royal Ballet; Birmingham Royal Ballet, English National; Ballet Rambert; Matthew Bourne; in the West End and Dance Companies all over the world.

Roshe are equally proud of the many Students that go on to some of the top Universities where many of them have been able to use their UCAS points from their Advanced Dance Exams to help gain places and many unconditional offers. Roshe also have a vast amount of former Pupils now teaching dance and the Performing Arts at schools locally, nationally and all over the world, many with their own schools.
